Purpose - can not be stated too often

Purpose
I am beginning to realise more and more that the purpose of Arrowtown School, as captured in our mission "Arrowtown School will provide a dynamic, future focused learning environment in which all children are encouraged and supported to achieve their personal best" needs to be articulated clearly and frequently. It underpins everything we do. It has a greater influence than National Standards, GOLD and even rubbish bins.
It is the purpose that drives us forward, guides our actions and serves as our compass.
And although many words make up our mission, one word in particular causes the greatest challenge. All.
Decisions and actions need to be made in the context of "all".

Below is the phrase from the blog worldpositive.com that prompted the above comment:
Make sure to articulate yours clearly, state with persistence, and revisit with frequency.  A purpose is catalytic if and only if the founding team/leadership believe in it at their core. It can help transform a simple job or paycheck into an inspirational calling — something bigger than ourselves.

The challenge lies in taking the reflection and acting on it in such away that changes the outcome for the learner.  Being prepared to share wonderings is a positive way to begin the transition from thought to practice. How do we become comfortable with disruption?

Learning to set up my blog

So many steps to remember

1. one post = one topic
2. use labels generously - seperate labels with a comma and space.
3. link posts to PTCs and Educational Leadership Model using label sub groups.
4. Performance Agreement is a static piece of information and can be set up as a page.
